February 2013  DETERMINATION OF SHARE OF MUSCLE TISSUE IN PIG CARCASSES USING THE OPTOELECTRIC MEASURMENT OF MUSCLE AND FAT THICKNESS 

On the ground of exceptional cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, the Croatian Agricultural Agency, the company PIK Vrbovec and Euroinspekt-Agroinspekt d.o.o., the optoelectronic device has been introduced into the classification system for the first time in the Republic of Croatia. The device of the brand Hennessy, world famous manufacturer, is used for determination of share of muscle tissue in slaughterhouse processed carcasses and half-carcasses on slaughter line.

With this technological progress Euroinspekt-Agroinspekt d.o.o. together with its reputable partners clearly confirms its leading role in business of classification and categorization of carcasses on the slaughter line in slaughterhouses throughout the Republic of Croatia.
